Dextrose Provides calf with needed energy, allows for faster absorption of electrolytes and water and improves flavor.
Sodium Creates a synergistic effect with glucose, water, and electrolytes. Is an essential electrolyte for
Bicarbonate Aids in the correction of metabolic acidosis and absorption of potassium.
Sodium Citrate Enhances the absorption of water and electrolytes, corrects the pH balance within the gut.
Kaolin Provides protective coating to the stomach, protects the villi from further damage, absorbs toxins, aids in the calf’s recovery.
Potassium Chloride Essential electrolyte for normal body function .

Prevention: Mix 3 heaping scoops (32 grams/scoop) of Electrolytes Plus Energy with 2 quarts of warm water. Feed once a day per calf. Feed milk replacer per usual schedule.

Moderate Need: Mix 3 heaping scoops of Electrolytes Plus Energy with 2 quarts of warm water. Feed two times a day. Feed Milk replacer at half the recom- mended level.

Severe Need: Mix 3 heaping scoops of Electrolytes Plus Energy with 2 quarts of warm water. Feed 2 quarts of solution per feeding, four times a day per calf. Use as only source of feed for up to 2 days. Return to milk feeding by offering a reduced amount of milk first, and building back to full quantity during a 2-4 day period, gradually replacing the electrolytes solution with milk.
